Howe (George D.) House is built.

(ca.) [1863-Southworth] Built for the merchant and his wife, it is located at 17 Marlborough Street. The building is sometimes operated as a lodging houses, beginning in about 1894. It is converted to apartments in 1979 and condominiums in 1980. Subsequent occupants include George Howes and Edward Kennedy.
